Hi, I'm Lynsey!
Born in Scotland, I'm someone who followed stories across the world - from film school in Australia, to ten years living and working in film & television in London, to a year in North Carolina that felt like a dream I’ve cherished since I was a teenager.
These days, I’m back home in the Highlands, bringing everything I’ve learned about storytelling and life into helping others make the same kind of brave, powerful decisions that change everything.
My Story
From Hollywood Productions to Heart Surgery
In June 2025, my heart stopped for 7.5 seconds. It happened during hospital testing to investigate a series of unexplained collapses. While I was still dazed, unable to stand, and being uncontrollably sick, the cardiologist told me I needed heart surgery and a pacemaker, so to prevent my heart stopping again. Was he for real? I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I felt my whole world flip upside down.

This wasn't going to be an elective surgery; I had no choice in this. This was life-saving, and I needed it urgently.

Although this experience was to forever change me and set my life on a new, different course, it wasn't my "call to adventure" - the moment when the hero of a story must begin a journey into the unknown. That had already come. This was more like my "supreme ordeal" - when the hero must face their greatest fear or death, so to be transformed or reborn.

So, lets go back to the beginning.

Since 2010, I have worked in the film and television industry in London, mostly as a script coordinator. And I love it! Storytelling and cinema has always been in my heart. But then, Covid-19 hit. Later, there was the SAG-AFTRA strikes. The industry changed dramatically, and through it all, I was battling various health issues. Also during this time, a dear friend of mine committed suicide.
I began to feel that there was something else for me. Something in the distance, speaking to my deepest desires. A change of career, perhaps?
And so, I had a "call to adventure". I started to consider retraining in an entirely new area.

But, of course, like all heroes on their journey, I initially refused the call. I was approached by huge TV productions - Harry Potter, The House of the Dragon, Ted Lasso. I so desperately wanted to work on these dream jobs! So, I didn't share that I was facing serious health issues, didn't mention that I was collapsing unexpectedly for unknown reasons, and I had lost all my confidence in living alone in London. I returned home to Scotland and tried to navigate it all. Could I work on these TV shows remotely from Scotland? Do the work, hide my illness? No, every production wanted me on set, all of the time. And so, I lost out on all of these shows.

But still, I heard that calling in the distance...and finally, I listened. I heard what my heart truly desired. It was to be of service, to connect with others, to help and to encourage and to transform. Every time I heard of someone struggling, I kept thinking "how can I help? How can I do something more?"

So, in April 2025 I signed up for the Beautiful You Coaching Academy Life Coaching course. I would begin in July. But remember, that little thing happened to me the month before this? My heart stopped. A pacemaker awaited me.

I truly had no idea if I was going to make it through 9 months of studying and retraining. I was living in absolute fear of my heart stopping again, of death, and I was still very unwell a lot of the time.

But, this course became my lifeline. A shining, guiding light through all the anxiety and illness. I very quickly realised that this was exactly where I was meant to be. I felt something settle in my soul. A door unlocked.

Because I finally felt in alignment with myself and that I was doing something of great worth and value, and due to the incredible mentorship of Julie Parker and the entire BYCA team, I graduated from the life coaching course in March 2026. And yep, while also undergoing heart surgery and adjusting to living with a pacemaker! It's been a wild ride.

If you’re reading this now and something in you is whispering, maybe it’s time… I’m grateful you’re here. I understand that whisper! Please know, you don’t have to have it all figured out to begin. You just have to be willing to take the next step.

I’d love to support you as you write your next chapter and step into the main character role in your own life.

My Favourites
I love sharing my favourite films, TV shows, and books because our stories say so much about us. The characters we root for, the scenes that move us, the worlds we return to again and again - they reveal what we value, what we long for, and the kind of life we’re quietly drawn toward. In a way, your favourite stories are a glimpse into your heart.
